Police Narcotics Investigation Results in 12 Arrests

Police executed a search-and-seizure warrant at the Monte Carlo Cafe

Eight of the 12 suspects facing drug charges as the result of a year-long police investigation were arraigned in court on Thursday afternoon.

The other four posted bond Wednesday night and are due back in Meriden Superior Court in June.

Police made the 12 arrests on warrants obtained after the probe, spokesman Lt. Mark Mikulski said.

At about 8 p.m. Wednesday, police executed a search-and-seizure warrant at the Monte Carlo Cafe, 10 Judd Square, related to the sale of cocaine at that location, Mikulski said. At the same time, five arrest teams fanned out across town to arrest other connected to the investigation, he said.

Joshua Albee and Daniel Sabatucci were arrested at the restaurant. Sabatucci was found with one-eighth of an ounce of cocaine, Mikulski said. Police also found a small amount of cocaine, a scale and other drug-related paraphernalia at Sabatucci’s home.

Sabatucci, 42, was charged with illegal sale of narcotics, two counts of illegal possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

William Goldstein, 44, of 18 Holly Lane, was charged with two counts of illegal sale of narcotics and two counts of illegal possession of narcotics.

Justin Toczylowski, 28, was charged with five counts of illegal sale of narcotics, five counts of illegal possession of narcotics, sale within 1,500 feet of a school and conspiracy to sell narcotics.

Albee, 30, of 103 Church St., was bartending at the Monte Carlo Cafe when the warrant was executed. He was charged with two counts of conspiracy to sell narcotics and conspiracy to possess narcotics.

Also arrested Wednesday:

Kelly Hanson,32, was charged with three counts of illegal sale of narcotics and illegal possession of narcotics.

Christopher Tosney, 29, was charged on two warrants with three counts illegal sale of narcotics, three counts of illegal possession of narcotics and two counts of conspiracy to sell narcotics.

Steven Nylund,49, was charged with doctor shopping and released on $5,000 bail.

David Muller,53, was charged with two counts of illegal sale of narcotics and two counts of illegal possession of narcotics.

Stephen Fairchild,59, was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance.

Melissa Falconeri,24, was charged with illegal sale of narcotics, illegal possession of narcotics and conspiracy to sell narcotics.

Danielle Mercuri,26 was charged with possession of a controlled substance. .

Jeffrey Besaw, 33, was charged with sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics, sale of marijuana and possession of marijuana.
